Our Doctors: Dr. Sarmeinto

Dr Cheryl Sarmiento established Center for Adult and Family Medicine in 2001, the kind of medical practice where she hoped to provide opportunities for patients, doctors and medical staff alike to experience healthcare the way it should be. She felt that it's only through this approach that she can truly make a difference, do something important, and improve people's lives. Since then that vision has grown into a four equally dedicated primary physician medical practice, and in 2008, she added Center for Medical Weight Loss, the first to set up its territory in South Carolina covering both Greenville and Spartanburg Counties.

She previously held position as Medical Director of Hospice and had supervised midlevel providers that manned easy access clinics in Greenville. Currently she is a member of American Society of Internal Medicine, American College of Physicians, American Society of Bariatric Physicians and South Carolina Medical Association.

She is board certified in Internal Medicine and trained at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. She is originally from the Philippines. Her family are mostly medical doctors. She is married to the Allergist Dr. Emmanuel Sarmiento and their son Angelo is a pre-med student. The family loves to travel and is doing medical missions, their way of reaching out and helping the less fortunate.
