Berkeley HeartLab - a proprietary test that includes lipoprotein subfractionation analyses, advanced cardiovascular risk markers and genetic tests that determine risk characteristics with precision and accuracy.
NMR lipo profile test - uses nuclear magnetic resonance technology to provide a direct measure of the number of low density lipoprotein particles that interact with the arterial wall and set in motion cascades of events that leads to atherosclerosis.
We give our patients the convenience of having a good portion of their lab work completed in-house at the time of their visit. The list below of shows the tests that we are able to complete in-house, however, some insurance contracts (Blue Choice [Companion] and Cigna) require testing by an outside lab. Those that we can complete in-house we will and you will know your results in less than 10 minutes!
With the ever increasing demands on life and day-to-day activities, the thought of injecting another dose of insulin is not on the top of your list of favorite things to do. However, with the increasing technological advancements, it is becoming easier and more convenient to control your diabetes.
For your convenience you may pick up the prescription at the front office if you have been seen within the last three months. However, we ask that you call our office at least 24 hours ahead of time so we can have the refill ready.
For our established patients, we will make an appointment for your lab work in advance and your exam at least 2 days later, so the lab results can be reviewed with you. For all lab results that are normal, we will mail you a card letting you know. If the lab results are abnormal, you will be called to come in and discuss the treatment plan with your doctor.
