We began with a traditional medical practice, Center for Adult and Family Medicine, where we are Board Certified Physicians bringing an outstanding depth of dedication to  our practice with 20 years of experience in Internal and Family Medicine.

The Practice is about prevention, management and treatment of diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, metabolic and hormonal disorders, degenerative diseases like arthritis, dementia, cancer, liver, kidney and pulmonary disorders.

Recently, we introduced a subspecialty of Medical Weight Loss and Age Management. We are aware that these problems of weight and aging have the most impact in our lives. These individualized programs are supported by solid science and are evidenced based, which allows us to proactively treat our patients and help place them at the lowest possible risks for age or weight related diseases.

We are the first established Center for Medical Weight Loss in the state of South Carolina. It is the largest Medical Weight Loss Program in the country that is doctor  prescribed and doctor guided.

Dr. Sarmiento is trained and certified in the practice of Age Management by Cenegenics, the largest Age Management practice worldwide that is affiliated to 3 Medical Universities in the US and accredited by the American Medical Association.

Our practice is affiliated with Bon Secours Saint Francis Hospital which has been voted on of the top hospital in the country and an Upstate leader in all Specialized and General Surgeries.
